This project was my submission to FigBuild 2026. People often reach burnout before even realizing it. The Cognitive Load Radar is a tool that tackles this issue by helping you visualize how hard your brain is working in real time. It helps you identify when you need to take a break before burnout hits.

our idea
Design a tool that tracks, measures, visualizes or quantifies an aspect of human sensory experience. Within the tool, provide the ability to detect, enhance, or manipulate those same sensory inputs.
In today’s digital environments, people constantly manage multiple tasks, information streams, and decisions. However, cognitive overload is largely invisible. Most people only realize they are mentally exhausted after their performance drops, mistakes increase, or they experience burnout.
Thus, we wanted to build a tool that translates subtle behavioral and physiological signals into a clear visualization of a person’s cognitive state to help people identify when they need to take breaks.

This project started directly in Figma Make as it was my first time using it. These were the designs that were initially created.
initial designs

after a few iterations, we ended up visualizing some of the signals that we were going to measure cognitive load with.
