In this high-pressure, fast-paced 2D platformer, players must navigate through kitchens full of hazards to prepare ingredients, and assemble complete dishes. Orders arrive continuously forcing players to prioritize tasks, monitor stations carefully, and move efficiently throughout levels. Slacking off can be costly, as ingredients may become burnt or stolen if unattended for too long. Earn coins for each completed order, and finish the level by cooking until the timer runs out.
Designed and iterated on an interactive tutorial for players, running 3 rounds of playtesting with 10+ users to identify and resolve any confusion.
Designed 7 levels with increasingly more recipes and unique layouts or mechanics for each.
Added audio feedback (SFX, music) to reinforce player actions and game state, improving clarity of success/failure signals
Ran playtesting sessions to gather feedback via observation to determine player confusion and improvements within the game
